work was fun this week. stragely, i was working way less without claude. for more than 2 months, i didn't write a single line of code, no single config change by hand, literally nothing, except if i am adding this webpage's tags and files :D anyways, work is changing so fast, it's nerving but fun, and i don't get why i am working 10 times more.
melike shooting a movie as a director this week, whaat?! i have a smol contribution on this movie happening i have to tell.
in 2019 i sold a bike in berlin and a turkish girl, esra, came. she negotiated the price hard saying that she is student and i started a asking like what does she study and she says cinema. at that time melike and caglar was working in istanbul and i was trying to convince them to move to berlin. melike was writing scripts and plannig a career change of going into cinema industry. and that day, i was like, literally going beyong my line irrelevantly, like an intrusive auntie, told esra, like, oh i have a friend in istanbul(wtf) who is eyeing to move to berlin and would like to get into the industry, do you mind connecting with her on facebook and maybe she could ask some questions? she was like whatever, rightfully she wanted to skip this weird convo. and then i found her facebook and asked melike to reach out to her. melike and caglar moved to berlin after 2 years. and 7 years later, this week, they are making a movie together. melike in the director seat, esra on the camera. lol. i am just so proud to take this cringe iniative years ago, it turned out to something fkn beautiful <3
what i read this week, not much. there is a book i borrowed from my dad's bookshelf last year, thoughts on life by tolstoy, carrying it to my commute but somehow i am failing on focusing on it. maybe i used up all my reading credits for this year on january :d
and we all listened bad bunny this week i guess? not much news on what i listened. i didn't even know who was him until someone brought up during standup the topic of superbowl. i knew the name, as the competition between this name vs taylor swift but only as a polymarket question :d one intersting discovery was what my teammate anders shared. last week i was sharing that i listened to norwegian wood by beatles and got curious by the name if it's related to the murakami's books named norwegian wood. i didn't read the book but ai was saying that murakami refers to this song by the title, i didn't know. apparently the book's narrator hears the song on the plane and that's the connection. on the same line, this week anders shared an interesting song pair: albatross by fleetwood mac and sun king by beatles, both released in 1969, wondering who inspired who... not sure but albatross is gold :chef-kiss:
made this recipe, to bring to melike to celebrate together the week ending with no issues on set. I was super excited that it had tahini and brown sugar and banana and lots of chocolate, but it turned out as a below average brownie.
went to see mor ve otesi in colombiahalle. harun tekin shared their memories from 90s, the mood of their yeldegirmeni apartment, made me remember mine. miss istanbul so much these days, i want to get lost in beyoglu, karakoy, kadikoy, moda.....
